Lately I have been in love with the oversized, Sci-Fi shoulder dresses and jackets! If you enjoy shows like "The City" or even enjoy runway fashion, you can not miss this new trend! I totally fell in love when I began to see people pair the oversized shoulder jackets with fitted dresses or nice pants. I actually had the opportunity to wear my jacket to an event last week!

What's Hot: Donating to those in Need!

This is long overdo, but I want to share with you all my experience at The D.R.O.P. ( Delivering Remedies to Other People) Project held at The Dream Center! This event was spectacular! It was put on and hosted by actor, Tyler James Williams and his family! When I say thousands, I mean thousands of people of all ages came to donate blood for those in need! This was my first time giving blood as a donation! I will admit that I thought it would hurt, but I made it!!! Superstar Nail Lacquer was present at the event to support Tyler and his wonderful family! Though the drive lasted from 9AM to about 4pm, it did not matter because all the positive energy that flooded the room, or should I say outdoors! Houston Diary!

Last week I took a week trip to Houston! I had a wonderful time with my grandparents who I must say are pretty fly!! Well fly is really an understatement! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! The trip began by my grandmother picking me up on her Private Jet! How excited was I!! I love them and thank them for taking the time to let me stay with them!

Who's Hot: Diane von Furstenberg

Diane Von Furstenburg! The Icon, The mastermind, The Fashionista! The list could go on and on explaining how great this woman is! Just to be in her presence was amazing! I was so blown away by just seeing her and being able to talk with her! She is so nice and sweet! Not to mention, the women looked absolutely FAB at the Rock N' Roll of Hip Hop event, hosted by Kim Porter. If you are in the fashion industry, or just love fashion, you know that seeing and better yet meeting Diane Von Furstenberg is a dream come true! Well I guess I can mark meeting her off my list!

So I have been sitting here thinking about the hottest young stars on the rise! Yes there are many individuals who are blowing up daily, but these are some of the people I believe are going to change the next generation! They not only are singers, writers, actors, rappers, or bloggers, but individuals who want to be an example for other young people! What's to Come: New Songstress Alyxx Dione

Songstress, Alyxx Dione, is on her way to becoming the next big thing! Just take one look at her and you can see that there is greatness inside of her! Read on as we take a look into the life of this new young artist!






TheHeiress: When did you realize you wanted to do music?

Alyxx: I realized I wanted to do music around 11 years old. I just start writing and singing, and just took it from there!

TheHeiress: What are your passions in life?

Alyxx: My passion in life is to share my gift that God gave me, to the world. I have learned that your gifts and talents are not meant for YOU, they are meant for others. So I want to inspire people through my music, and show them that nothing is impossible.

TheHeiress: I see that you have a couple of music videos under your belt. What song was this for? How long did it take you to shoot the video? How did you get a video shoot? That's major!

Alyxx: Well I have one promo music video for my song "Obsession". It took about 4-5 hours to shoot. This guy named Glen Miller actually found me on Model Mayhem and offered to shoot my video for free. So I took him up on the offer and quickly went to work on finding my make-up artist. I picked out my outfits and accessories for the video, and I basically put the whole project together. Then the day of, everyone knew what was going on, so we went to work and did the video! It was very exciting to see something I put together come alive! I can't wait to shoot my real video.

TheHeiress: How did you get started in the singing industry? Did it just fall into your lap? Were you in a group before?

Alyxx: Well I wouldn't say I'm singing in the industry just yet! I'm working on that! I've met many top name people in the industry and I'm starting to build great business relationships but as you know, this industry is a very tough game, and I have been working very hard on it for years now. I will not stop until I feel like I have reached the top position, and done my best. Yes, I was in two groups before, they did not quite work out. I learned ALOT from being in those groups though!
