What's to come: New sounds from Brian McKnight Jr.

Above: Brian pictured with his dad and brother, Niko

So I had the opportunity to interview the talented Brian McKnight Jr. this week. How excited was the Heiress to get an exclusive interview with him. I met Brian on the set of the We Are The World project for Haiti. He is one of the most humble individuals I have met even though he has so much going on for himself. Not only does he sing, but he tours around the world with brother, Niko McKnight and his dad, the renown Brian McKnight, Sr. Well I could go on, but I'll let you get to know Brian on your own.

Heiress: It was so exciting working with you on the We Are The World project! Your voice is beyond amazing. What was your experience like working on the project?

McKnight: Thanks Love! It was great working with you too! My experience while doing this project was simply amazing. I'm still surprised they even asked me to do it out of the many people that could have. I was absolutely honored to get to be a part of it all.

Heiress: So I see you have been traveling with your father on tour! What has the experience on the road been like for you? Where are some of the places you have performed?

McKnight: Wow. Me and my little brother Niko, 17, have been on the road with my dad going on 5 yrs now. Its been such a learning experience from a performing standpoint. I've always loved getting on a stage and singing for people, but to be able to watch my dad every night and take notes on how to talk to a crowd and lead a show has been a blessing. Being that i love traveling, being on tour has taken me places I'd always said I wanted to go. London, Paris, my favorites. Many of the islands. Asia, and Africa last year. If there is a venue, best believe we have played it haha.

Heiress: Let's talk about your style! It's crazy dope! How would you describe your style? What type of style do you like for girls?

McKnight: My style, let's see. I'm real laid back, more of the jeans and a t-shirt kinda guy. But I spice it up with my shoes. Hightops and crazy colors. My little brother has got me into the skinny jean movement as of late, so I've been on my Levis 511's haha. I love cleaning up though. Suits and tuxedos absolutely. A man should have a Suit for every occasion i say. The style I like for girls is Classy, yet unique, she should have her own little twist to it. She can't be afraid to try new looks, keep me guessing.

Heiress: Do you have an album coming out soon? I along with several others will rush to the store to purchase it!

McKnight: Me and Niko actually are planning to drop our Debut self-titled album "McKnight" this summer. It's much different from anything else out there, we are trying to get music back to where it used to be. Real melodies, Strong lyrics. We would much appreciate the support! And you never know maybe we can get you on it! haha

Heiress: Ahh that would be such a fun project to work on with you and Niko! Let's do it! I'm ready as soon as you call! Thank you again Brian for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this interview. Your very talented and I cannot wait for the world to hear your project. I cannot wait to work with you again in the near future.

If you all have any comments that you would like to leave about this interview, make sure to just click the Comment button below this post! We would love to hear your feedback.

What's hot: Sky High Wedges

I am so excited to rock my spring pieces! While I was reading my March issue of teen vogue, I discovered the shoe every girl should have in her closet. The shoe is a super high wedged heel! They were spotted all over the runways! One in particular was Alexander Wang's Spring 2010 runway show. What made this even better is that I wore my wedged heels to the "We Are The World" video shoot the day before reading my magazine! I guess that means my pieces are right in line for spring! Take a look to see what I'm talking about:

What's To Come: Young Hollywood's We Are The World

Soo I came back to LA to work on Young Hollywood's version of "We Are The World" with Chani Christie! I was honored and excited to have the chance to work on this project. It was a way I could give back to those in Haiti. I had a wonderful time working with artist like lil mama, Taylor parks, Montana Tucker, Brian McKnight Jr, Small Change, Radar, Gigi Friedman, Mishon, H. Wood, Raz B, and many many more!
We made history with this song! It is going to touch your heart! The first time we heard the final song, heads nodded and tears fell. I can't wait for you all to see the video for "We Are The World". I will definitely be back to blog about my experience on this project, I just don't want to spill all the beans before it comes out. When it does premiere, I want all of you to support and give feedback on the project! Help make it number 1!

What's the hottest event: A Diddy Event!

Grammys weekend brought the hottest events to LA! I have to admit that this was one of the funnest weekends of my life! But the highlight of my Grammy experience was attending Diddy's I AM KING Grammys Event. This was definitely THE event to attend. Anyone who is anybody wanted to get into Diddys event! The place was packed with hollywood's finest! Of course you know The Heiress had to step on the red carpet with her designer frock. For this event I wore Columbian designer, Natalia Gaviria. My dress was one of 3 ever made! Enjoy the pics!

What's Hot: Experiencing Katsuya

While in LA last weekend for business, I was able to have an early Birthday celebration at Katsuya. All my closest friends and family came to celebrate me. Katsuya is one of the hottest spots to be caught dinning at. This is such a hot spot that paparazzi wait directly outside the door to photograph any celebrities that decide to dine there. This causes for any and everyone to be fashionable, hot, and dressed to impress. I decided to do the "all black everything" theme with a touch of gold! The outfit definitely stole the show with the help of my chunky black and gold Style Shoppe necklace which is totally in for spring 2010 !
Not only did the heiress receive gifts for her birthday, but all the guest received gift bags too! I love to give even when it's my birthday. They received Green chic gift bags designed by Sheryl Crow for Whole Foods that included: Two Moms In The Raw, Teen Vogue Magazines, and Red Velvet Sprinkles Cupcakes!
I loved how fashionable all my guest looked! We all had black attire that was so high fashion, which caused us to be the most talked about table at Katsuya. The management there had to ask if our party was made up of models! I guess it pays to look good! ;)
